  • 2-story addition became main school entrance
  • Cafeteria, platform stage, and select restrooms constructed to be storm shelters
  • Created new classrooms, cafeteria, dining, administration, science lab, and music room
  • 1-story locker room added to existing gym
  • Renovations included changing prior dining area into art/maker space
  • Existing administration space became classrooms
  • New plumbing, mechanical, electrical, fire alarm, public address, sound, and intercom systems added throughout building

  • 5-story office tower renovation that allowed for the consolidation of 10 existing buildings to save employees time and efficiency, and the school district money
  • Met the 50% compressed design phase so the location could be operational prior to the beginning of the school year 
  • Life-cycle cost analysis showed that converting building from chilled water cooling and electric heat to a VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) system would show significant savings
  • Relocated and combined academic service department, added training space, and backup for district’s network servers
  • Replaced HVAC system to improve energy efficiency
  • Implemented bipolar ionization, ventilation, and filtration techniques to remove air contaminants

  • Addition and renovation of historic high school meeting the challenge of integrating modern technology into a building that was built in the 1920’s seamlessly
  • New 15,000 SF cafeteria and kitchen addition had to be constructed while school was still in session
  • Existing kitchen needed to remain operable to serve students and faculty
  • Renovation of locker rooms and weight room
  • Upgrades to life safety, including emergency lighting, exit signage, fire strobes, smoke detectors, and horns for the fire alarm system
  • Upgraded public address, and clock system throughout the entire facility

  • Addition of a new secure main entrance, storm shelter, choir, black box theatre, and 1000-seat competition gym
  • Building façade was renovated
  • Expanded and renovated the administration area
  • Roof and window replacements refreshed and unified the existing building
  • Consolidated classrooms onto main campus
  • Renovated existing classroom

    • dehumidification
    • unoccupied temperature setback control to reduce damage to band and choir equipment, uniforms, and documents

  • Repurposed existing choir room and created 2 classrooms
  • Coordinated renovations with Garland ISD to avoid interruption of school activities
